after-market warranties
Discussion
there's been much talk of late (about 996s in particular) re the porsche warranty and what happens when your car reaches 9yrs old. some mention made of other after-market warranties (I thinhk henry-F might have alluded to them). But what is the general view of these? Ive had an RAC "5 star" warranty on my 968 and frankly its not been great - so many disclaimers, bits not covered etc. But then i was lucky that nothing went fatally wrong with the greasy bits, so maybe i'm being unfair.
despite all the negative talk about OPCs it seems the one thing they do do is sort out RMS issues without quibble on warrantied cars - i'm sure a PHer will pop up at this point with a horror story - but if we can take this statement to be broadly correct, are there any other after-market warranties that will offer anywhere near this level of cover for the price?
