Exhaust vacuum pipe
Discussion
Morning all.
I'm Having a new Janspeed Roadsport exhaust fitted to my 03 111S on Friday.
I've talked with the guys at PTP who supplied it and they say the vacuum pipe can be coiled up and not used so that the sports sound is heard at lower revs as well as under full throttle.
I've never done one of these before so could do with advice.
Whilst I understand this may not meet strict sub 3000rpm noise regs, has any of you out there done the same thing or got any comments/advice before I do it please?

Does the janspeed have the little butterfly valve then?
The principle on the std exhaust is that under full load, the second valve opens to get better noise. When I replaced my exhaust I just put the pipe somewhere safe and blocked it up. I'd be surprised if your janspeed has such a valve in it, to be honest...?!
