This Sunday Santa pod is having the first RWYB of the year, anybody up for a run down the strip?
Have checked the weather and all looks good (no rain).
Nick.
Ps. £10.00 entry and £20.00 for as many runs as you can get in.
Last years bash (organised by Cyclone) was excelent so see you there.

I may well have another go now that I've got some decent tyres on the rear. Mine was 13.7 and 109mph last time. I reckon I can knock at least a second off of that as the conditions last time were really poor and the SO3's were a joke.

Nice one Nick, I didn't realise they started this early, I need to get some practise in before the Austec drag day, unfortunately our car won't be ready for this weekend so hopefully make another one soon

to save time on the day you can print and fill out the forms, but do not sign it

Was just about to say the same. As I managed a 14.382 in a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo.
Surely Cerbs are much quicker.

What time are you aiming to get there? Last time I went I missed Liam because I went in the morning and I'd left by about 12. I'm only 30 mins away so I'll check this thread in the morning.

See you tomorrow (whoever's going!)

Not the best day to go. The que was around three times longer than normal with what would seem every chav in the land out to see if their K&N kit that they got for christmas was going to get them into sub 10 territory.

Met up with Ash and Nickccc and had a good chat. By the time I decided to join the que which definitely wasn't getting smaller the longer I left it, I had time for one run.

The Falken's hooked up really well compared to the SO3's last time. However, human error ruined it when I went from 2nd to 3rd and found neutral. After rummaging around for about 2 secs I found 3rd just in time as I was about to be overtaken by a ginger female in her chav mobile, put my foot down and came through in a lowly 14.4 secs.

The cool thing was that my terminal speed was only 1mph less than my 13.7 I did last time which I think shows that I had more grip. Had I not missed third, I reckon a high 12 was on the cards.

I'll give it another go at the shoot-out.

Just seen that Rockingham have added a quarter mile straight to thier facilities - how about a circuit and dragstrip day combined - something for everyone! Maybe the Car Club could organise as one of this years outings?

He was having another run after I left so I'm not sure what his quickest was although it would be no suprise that his earlier runs were quicker than my time!

We assumed you were playing with your rollers. Hope you feel better soon.
