GT3 mkI vs GT3 mk II?

Guys

I am looking to jump from lotus/TVR to a porker, and love the idea of a nice low mileage GT3. I dont like turboed cars, never have and never will.

There are a few Mk1 GT3's that i have seen with <10k on the clock, and also a few MKII with similar suitable mileages.

My question is - what is the difference between the two models? (please dont say price/age/warranty!!)

ps. Ins quote on a GT3 is cheaper than both TVR and (surprisingly) Lotus.
