I'm changing my brakes from late servo split system to a single circuit with no servo. Discs are 7.5 with 4 pots. Does using the S master cylinder give excessive pedal travel?

I've just put 4pots on mine (had s set up before) and they feel very soft (they were only changed a day ago though).

You get a much longer pedal using 4 pots. Make sure the rears are adjusted, that makes a difference.

On a slightly different note, I am using S Discs on my 1275GT with 10" wheels and no servo.

It has the later "tower" type dual circuit master cylinder and the pedal is as stiff as a board.

Anyone know if it will be any less effort if converted to a single circuit system using an S master cylinder.

I really don't to put a servo in there.

Have you tried softer Pads? I use S-discs with a single circuit master set-up on my racer. No issues with stopping or pedal feel on this set-up.

If the pads being used by yourself are supposed to be in conjunction with a servo, they are too hard and don't give you pedal feel or bite (retardation). Different part No.s exist for a with/without servo condition, I'm sure.

I'll give it a whirl next year when the GT comes out of hibernation.
