Save the attachment to your desktop or somewhere else.

Open PowerPoint, open the document and you should see it in its "normal" state (eg. Not as a slide show).

Should just be a case of selecting the picture you want and saving it.

Could be wrong though!

Must be an easy one this as I think I know the answer. Right click on the picture you want and you'll get a drop down menu. Choose the option that says "set as wallpaper" and the jobs a good 'un.

It depends how the picture has been embedded into the slide. If it has been imported or pasted in then you should be able to simply select it in Powerpoint and copy it to your favourite image processing app and then save it as a bitmap.

If it has been imported as the background to a slide then the only way to get at it is to save the Powerpoint slide as a metafile or a web page - this creates the graphics you need and it's just a matter of looking in the saved file/folder for the one you want.

If you don't have Powerpoint yourself or don't feel confident in doing this, then let me have it and I can get it back to you within a few minutes.
