996 Exhaust Replacement

Further question, anyone recommend a replacement exhaust for a 996 2001 c2, would like a sportier sound and the current one rattles slightly on cold start up (heat shield ?) and i'm sure it's blowing from the back right box so could be on way out anyway.

Anyone tried a TUBI exhaust system ?

You could do a lot worse than the Porsche sports exhaust.
I like mine.

If the rattle goes away after some time it is probably a broken catalyst, which when it heats up expands and hence reduces the rattle. You can live with it and according to the OPC it will probably even pass the MOT but ultimately you need to have it replaced. Changing to a sports exhaust does not remedy this as this all happens in front of the bit they put on. When they exchaged mine they found out that I had a US version catalyst for no logical reason other than it was 200 pounds more expensive. (The US version has the lamda sensors in a different place and hence they are not interchangeable). To cut a long story short I wanted the extended warranty to cover this but they refused. When I put pressure on my dealer they eventually covered 50% as it was unusual for the catalyst to break after only 10.000 miles. Otherwise you are looking at a 600 pounds repair.
