Ok, i called it a droop, because it wasn't really a full on loss..

In 3rd gear accelerating hard off roundabouts, i go through 5K, then about 5300 it slows its rate of pull.. then at about 5800 it kicks back in and off we go..

It did this for a day, but now seems to have gone away.. any ideas what this might be/what this might be pre-warning against?

Thanks

Fisry check all your vacuum lines are in place , very carefully supergluding them back if you need to, but you must be v careful not to oclude them. This is really common and gives the sort of weakening power you describe, though I don't recall it coming back up again. Companies like promax do a replacement kit if it turns out to be this.
