I've still got the Pioneer AVIC navigation headunit that came out of my Sagaris when they refunded my money.......
Where is a decent install place in the area that you'd trust with your Lotus???
Thanks all
Kurt
I use guys called Bravaria. The do the installs for Westover and are trusted with thier expensive and prestige cars. The installs they have done for me are superb and they have a lot of quality experience. They have a shop on Castle Lane Bournemouth Tel 01202 511221. Mike is the fitting guru. My car is booked in next Thurs.
Does it have the flip-out screen? If so, the overhang of the dashboard will mean that the screen cannot flip all the way up, ends up facing downward and is nearly impossible to see from the driver's seat. If so, you may want to sell it and buy a Tom Tom One that can be mounted more centrally to your view. Costs £219.

I actually had a chat to the guys about a pioneer with a fold out screen. They have made it work in an exige. They use a special spacer to bring the head unit out. Works well (apparently). I was thinking about it for xmas but went for the array of countermeasures instead.
Having just been on SELOC, yes I know, its no better, but I was bored.
The TomTom option was mentioned and SY, dont like em. Think he has already come to the conclusion that he will have to build a spacer into the back of the whole to push the unit forward the requisite amount.
Obvious Q is, are Bravaria good enough to be able to supply the spacer too.

When I'm back at the end of the week I'll give Bravaria a call and see if and when they can do it.... otherwise there is a danger of the thing sitting in a box in the cupboard for ever more!!!
Thanks!
Just Tart would do
