Murcielago 40th Anniv
Discussion
In common with a few other people, I had always reckoned that the 40th Anniv was nothing more than a few bits of carbon fibre trim and a slightly dubious colour, compared to the standard car.
Big mistake!
I spent most of Sat afternoon with Ruttboy driving a 40th. What a revalation. The car was noticably different to my Murcie. It felt lighter, the steering was more precise and it was quicker. The whole car just felt really well set up - more willing and responsive in every way - and the colour looks a whole lot better in the metal than it does in the pictures.
Alan reckons it's about 600bhp plus plus and it feels like it too.
So, no longer am I slightly dismissive of the Anniv; I reckon it's 20% better than the standard Murcielago.

I, too thought it was just a Murci with a few pretty bits bolted on in the name of the 40th anniversary.
Meridian Modena had one of the two right hand drive cars for sale last year, so I popped along to see it.
The colour grew on me and the grey wheels were "different". Once I researched the car, I discovered just how much work the car had had done over and above the regular Murcielago.
I never did get around to a test drive as I was at war with the tax man at the time, so that would have been a bit irresponsible.
We hear of the awful depreciation with Lamborghinis at the moment. I think that the 40th Anniversary Murci, would be a much better investment.
