No, tire size of Lee's M12-2 racecar

When I woke up this morning (California time) I had such high hopes that my tire question had been answered after seeing that there were 19 responses to my question. Sadly no answer, but at least it was an entertaining read. My only hope is to ask the question again:

Simon, I'm interested in the tire size that Lee has fitted to his racecar that had been designated, at least in one race, the M12-2. The car has redone bodywork, including new front and rear wheel arches that suggest that larger tires have been fitted. I'd like to know the size of its tires. Thanks.

I'm not sure the tyres sizes would have been increased that much - perhaps just a wider track? - just guessing

Pretty sure it had custom hubs made up so that it could run some standarish wheels. Possibly Porsche ones as they have so many race wheels available (5 bolt hubs).

Hi Michael,

Sorry about the misunderstanding!

The wheels and tyres on the racer are obviously very different to anything designed for the production car. The racer runs 12J rims at the rear and 10Js at the front (as opposed to 10J and 8.5J respectively for the M12/400). They have centre-lock fixings, too.

The tyre sizes are not in the conventional format because they're slicks, but if you still need them please e-mail me through my profile and I'll let you have them.
