Green '91 Griffith at Fernhurst Garage

Can anyone give me any info on the 91 griffith at Fernhurst Motor company. It's of interest but I've never had a Griffith before. Does anyone know this specific car or what to look for??

Hi, I would gen up from the literature, buy Steve Heaths book, and look at several cars before commiting. They wont sell too fast at this time of year so you should have leisurely time to look around. In general look at the normal things, paint, interior, history, etc. But check the chassis carefully, if at a garage ask to see it on ramps. Check hot starting, that seems to go wrong a lot. Have fun. Keep some money to one side to fix some stuff later, I am doing my own fixing, got an excellent car (in Nov) but still have paid £250 for front suspension rebuild (DIY).

It's a 92 Griffith 400. Must be close to one of the first built.

If you want to know more, the best bet is to go visit the car and ask to see the service history. Fernherst are very good and I would expect them to have a folder with all the car repairs, service bills etc.

The Fernhurst 3 month warranty will cover all serious mechanical problems and in my experience, cos we bought our Griff from them, they are prepared to fix all sorts of minor niggles as well at no charge straight after you buy the car.

Oh - and of course - give it a drive. But please be prepared to be £13,995 poorer very soon after.
