The complete uselessness of my university. Only they can balls things up more then the government...

Tis the day before exams..I've been trying to get hold of sample questions and answers FOR A WHOLE MONTH now and I've juse received an email (only a month late) with a "oh I'll email them to you tomorrow" THE EXAM IS AT 9AM TOMORROW MORNING

We still have no timetable considering we went back on Monday so I just sit here on PH twiddling my thumbs - apparently they forgot to ok it -so it should be ready for MID FEBRUARY (until then no lectures)

Then we get coursework that is blatently not meant for us (no first years would be able to do it) but we can't query it because said lecturer is too busy doing research.

To top it all off I had coursework marks docked because apparently my colouring in wasn't up to scratch.

I CANT COPE ANYMORE..IM GOING TO STRANGLE SOMETHING......

on top of a catalogue of errors this is getting beyond a joke....

TBH I'd rather be at Hallam - atleast it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't.

Oh and here is an interesting fact - did you know that actually Hallam and proper Sheff are the same uni? Just different branches...Something I found out on le intaweb yesterday..

Try telling that to the occupants of bar One (is that what it's called? My memory is terrible...) .

I didn't really enjoy the academic side of things at Hallam (partly for reasons you're ranting about) so packed it in.

Social life was fantastic though I miss it hugely.

Meh...so you reckon that Hallam is at the same level as Sheff? Seems there is no hope

To be fair, the teaching was, in some cases, excellent. The lecturers all had a wealth of actual industry experience which, in engineering, counted for a lot more than a textbook could. It was let down hugely by the admin side who seemingly had no idea what they were doing. Although it does mean my university network login (email, webspace etc) still work two years after I left...

take it his question will be left well alone then...

I've been trying to get some information out of Hallam sinse a few days after christmas about a course my company will pay for me to do and there just not interested, they got me a prospectus straight away and that has even less info than the website... numpties of the highest order.

good luck with the exam!

If you stand at a tram stop on West Street about now, you should be able to spot one of those Pedalpusher bods on his/her way home.

You'll be about the right height to 'oik him/her off with a carefully placed foot....

I promise you'll instantly feel a whole lot better....

Off you go, then.....

I'm perfectly fit thank you.

The admin here isn't much better - the thing is its staffed by dumb women who think its their lifes aim to prove they are better than anyone else. They wouldn't know what a degree was if it slapped them in the face....

The exam is gonna go well...I'm just going to write "I'm f**ked" all the way through it...

They are. That's why I married a woman!

Anyway, here's that picky again, so you can see what you're missing...
