You might want to give Don Palmer a go too. I've done a couple of Andy and Don days and personally find Don's communication skills preferable but would still give Andy another go as there's lots to learn. Don makes you think a lot more which ultimately gives you a better understanding of WHY the car does what it does.
I have a lot of respect for Andy as an amazingly talented driver and isntructor - a top bloke too. Attended one of the CarLimit/1stLotus days with him, and around the coned circuit, everyone pulled 1:4x's. Andy was on crutches that day, and he hobbled into someone's Elise, and casually reeled off a 1:35 around the same circuit!

I have used both as well and IMHO both are ace. The only major difference between them (as you learn loads off either) is the cost.
I think Andy is less than half the cost.

Once you decide to learn how to 'drive' it's an endless progression, and the first few lessons mostly serve to show you how much you don't know. If you don't come away with that knowledge, you didn't understand the question
