All,

Finally it's time to get the hotel book - I suggest you do it now as the demand will be high again. I've reserved about 60 rooms.

The price was originally going to be £65 for a double but I renegotiated it down to £60 for a double and £50 for a single.

The booking reference is "BBWF TVR" - you can request confirmation of booking. As usual with hotels - they don't need any payment now
that happens when you check out - so you can even book it if you are skint. They may ask for payment card details - just for the usual cancellation reasons (very late cancellation & cannot sell the room..) but that's pretty usual.

Ettington Chase : 01789 740000

Date is Saturday 15th July - arrival time is 11am.

If you could either post here or email me to let me know that you are coming that would be great - as it helps to know numbers.

Lastly - the hotel asked that no one brings their own alcholic beverages onto the premises - I'm sure no one would do that

We are planning on having the BBQ/Buffet in the pub next to Ettington and their beer prices are much more reasonable !

Alan,
Booked under the previous reference issued. I'll call to check it's £60 as I need to book the Growl room.
Me and Mrs FFG in for the Saturday, BBQ, overnighter and Sunday.
It was too sad to go last year when you were all gearing up for food & more beer and we had to go home.
Looking forward to it.

Done it

Me Julie is coming to sample the delights of the sauna and gym... apparently. Nothing to do with a stoppy-back at the pub...

Alan,Dicky etc.
Just a suggestion - Maybe you need a seperate thread with relevant detail only so all the "clutter" is in another thread an all pertinent stuff is all together.
PS I need to book the BBQ for 2 - i'll do as almost everyone else. What do i do, who to pay the cheque to, by when etc. etc.
I believe the White Horse have a licence until 3.30am - wow.

Just wondered if anyone was thinking of booking the Sunday night in the hotel and then travelling back on the Monday??? It all seemed to whizz by so fast last year that I wanted to make it into a longer weekend. If no one is staying Sunday then I may book the Friday night instead.

Sevans -

I'm booked for a long weekend - Fri to Sun inclusive - just seems a good idea to make a few days of it.

I will be setting up a pypal account for the bbq money soon. I'll post a new thread when details are finalised with Kirk and Ali at the White Horse.
