Show footnotes/credentials

Any idea why I would keep "losing" seeing other people's (and mine) credentials?

If I go to my preferences "Show footnotes" is checked; if I uncheck, recheck, update preferences, it all comes back, but will disappear shortly.

Not quite a "Sev A" problem but up there ...

It's kept as a cookie currently although I will change that.

I can't see them currently and I have checked the box, refreshed, signed in etc.

It's strange but it appears that I do use them sub-conciously as it's it feels like a big ommision to me when they're not there.
