Hi Guys,

Well my beloved Holden Monaro (Red 2002 6 speed manual)is sitting on the dock after arriving from NZ. I have got it here under temporary import (2 year work contract) but as it needs to go through the SVA test it has to be changed from Kph to Mph. Two ways of doing this are changing the clocks or Electronic Mod. The later is the least expensive but they still quoted £350 which seems pretty steep. Does anyone know if you can get this done cheaper and close to London as the other is in Milton Keynes. Thanks

Sweet... well i went down the track of getting a speedo face made up. Now, not too sure if the requirement for the SVA is that the odometer has to report Miles or if it is OK in KM.

Anyhow, will be there on sunday if you wanted to check it out, and yeah, £350 is a bit steep for buggar all work as far as I can see. I got quoted similar prices as well, thought it was a bit crazy.

Hey bud, a fellow Kiwi. Good stuff.
I could do the electronic mod for you, except Im off on holiday tomorrow back to NZ.
If you have not had a tune on the beast yet, may I suggest contacting Mr Wortec or similar and get it all done at once. Click on one of the banners above to arrange it.

I think a new dial face with MPH and KMH is better actually. Because of Europe being metric this is ok. mph one available here www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=1_33&products_id=3557
Im pretty sure Ive seen them available with mph and km/h.

I am sure wortec could recalibrate the ECU so all it would be is a physical dial plate change, just a thought

The old HSV's just have a little MPH sticker on top of the kmph one. The rest is the same.
