Well I was getting in my Dads C70 today, preparing to leave uni in Cardiff, when i heard something revving high, coming my direction past the prison in Cardiff, heading towards the CIA, then it appeared, a red Ferrari F430 Spider, the beautey of it was overwhelming, the colour was glowing It was then at that point i thought to my self...."That little lever and the pedal on the left there operate together to CHANGE GEAR" :heh:

As it approached i could no longer see the car as this thing of engineering excellence and sexiness cos i could not get the words "Change gear for god sakes" out of my head, Ok the guy was probably loaded and can afford to burn his petrol by "cruising" in high revs, but what is the point?? its not like its a done up saxo craving the attention, its a blinkin red Ferrari F430 spider for god sake .

I then travelled along the Concrete road and spotted a red Ferrari 360 Spider with its roof down which was very nice. But the scene of the day for me was a little further up the road on that long straight before the Ninian park turn off, a stunning silver, current model M5, it may have just been its looks but he seemed as if he was really motoring too

Also spotted a Porsche GT3 in Silver going the opposite direction to the F430 in the same place (heading towards the concrete road), seconds apart. All in all a good days spotting .

Iv regularly followed a Purpley new shape M5 into Cardiff, chinese guy around 25 drives it very nice it is too.....

Still wondering whats the point of using revs like that on a busy road doing 30/40mph in a Ferrari

P.S. if you, the F430 owner reads this "Change gear more"

pretty sure the guy who owns williams motor co has got a f430 cab, which would explain it. also when i asked the nice lady at dick lovetts about f430's in cardiff she said officially they had delivered only 2 which narrows it down somewhat!

Ive seen the puply M5 around too, normally parked up on port road in barry. lovely car, but im not fond of the colour at all

Seen a 360 spyder yesterday driven by a big bloke and his mate. It looked like it needed a good Zymol all over, the car that is. To top it all it had no Tubi!!!

On gear change, I do drop to 3rd when going under the Bute tunnels.

I have seen the F430 guy on Penarth road before. I was in my Landcruiser at the time, otherwise I would have given it a go to see if he had what it takes. Maybe he has a two speed ferrari LOL.

Lol NSX, anything I said about changing gears, does not apply for tunnels, tunnels are there for cars with sweet sounding engine, how i miss my Cerb everytime i travel through Butetown Tunnel

That red Ferrari was alongside my mate's 1971 Camaro in park Place. all the students gave the Camaro the thumbs up and waved some gestures at the Ferrari. Power to the people.

Of course a Tubi is a requirement LOL. Have you heard a Tubi on a Ferrari??? If you have you should not be asking that question, if you haven't, you will want one after you do!

Cheers

All those German cars on your profile... but you've finally gone over to "the dark side" Italy thanks you for your contribution.

As for the gearchange thing, I tried my mates flappy paddle 430 and it does take some getting used to.

Anyway, C'mon update your profile, we need some photos!!!!!

Only when they can afford to service it. LOL. I think they'd rather "have" the Ferrari, not necessarily run it. Not that I think for a minute they weren't being precocious, bless their little text books.

Hang on, Hyundai don't sell a single car in their range over £20k and they've got a £50k supercar in the window. Who the f**k is going to buy that from there, hardly target audience.

I remember Subaru having a 355 in the window for a while. It's just a ploy to get some customers, who would never contemplate walking into a Ferrari showroom, inside the door.... then sell them a (an?) Hyundai.
