why do so many dealers SUCK??

ok so just letting of a bit of steam but was in the market for a 360 and dont think i can name names here but rang alot of the big names in top marques, some repetedly, and hardly ANY returned my calls or if i got straight through to someone they would promise to ring me straight back with a trade in price....still waiting 3 weeks later!! do they not want a sale? if it was me selling a 60+k car id be nicer than i am to my gran!! is it because i was asking too much for my 05 part ex? no cos they never asked what i wanted for it and i knew i was ok on price cos id phoned a couple of buyers and got trade bids. was it cos the didnt want the work of placing it? more likely! and another thing for any dealers reading...running someones part ex into the ground on the phone is NOT helping your cause...if need be hit me with a bad price but dont tell me its a poor model that noone wants that drives like crap. well i found one helpfull dealer who was efficent and even delivered my 360 over to belfast so all i can say is that next time especially if im buying straight i'll remember who was helpfull and who wasnt!!

Best sell your own car, then turn up with a fist full of dollars and make them dance for your money, play each dealer off against the others as hard as possible. Then try and good independent who has less overheads to charge you for!

Because there are too few of them, and too few customers who are prepared to stump up what they cost to run once they are a few years old.

I also could be interested, but this situation would scare me.
