Looking for some help please, I have a x5 sport on a '55' plate with full comms pack (TV, Sat Nav & Telephone) built in and would like to add a cd multi changer in the boot and I am getting some conflicting advice about whether I have to do this through BMW.

BMW want £420 for changer and fitting and are telling me this is the only way it can be done, has anyone else fitted any other non-bmw changers and is it easy to do (connectors needed?) or any recommendations of companys in the Essex area that can do this for me.

Easy DIY job! www.x5world.com/showthread.php?t=9549

You can either buy the OEM BMW changer OR get an Alpine unit and an interface box, e.g. the Intravee www.intravention.co.uk, bonus of the latter is that you'll get MP3 playback, ID3 tags etc.

£250.00

Thats what we charge...

takes two minutes...

ok five minutes..

maybe cost abit more if some of the cradles are missing but not that much

FWIW.. If you have the single CD behind the sat-nav screen I would stick with that, 6 CD's are a pain... You always have a bootfull when you remember to change them!!
