just settled down to watch series 2 of lost and after episode 1 (which was awesome by the way) episode 2 wont play cos its 'missing a codec' and will play sound but not pictures. so, ive checked the cupboards and down the back of the sofa but i cant find a single codec anywhere.
PLEASE someone help me. Lost is my saturday afternoon. PLEASE.

thanks gang, especially rob :begrudgingsmiley: ill see you in 10 hours
Hey Nervy, when trying to play your file right click the title in the now playing side bar and then click properties. That should tell you which audio and video Codecs the file needs to play. Then get the replacement codec from Microsoft or look for it here:

thats helpful. however, since the sychronising is out i fear i would be talking out of my arse.
One of the episodes I downloaded was out of sync, had to download a different version of the same episode in the end
Lots of love
Neil
i have this problem a lot and i found the best way to get around it is to burn it to a dvd and then watch it from that, strangely it cures the problem
