Racing stripes
Discussion
Okay guy's listen up, the car is pretty quick aided by a big induction kit, Jenvy throttle bodies, piper cams and verniers in a head built by Ark racing, forged pistons, lightweight flywheel exhausted by a Janspeed system. Oh there's an Emerald ECU, Leda suspension.......and final output of 157bhp!
Now she needs warpaint!
Any serious suggestions?

I am after some kind of stripes too for my S1. Cant decide on colours though or style. Would it be better withe two down the middle or one fat on off center with a little thin strip next to it?? Mine has a spolier, do you go over it on under it? Post some pics when you get yours done, it might help me decide !
You know the USA like their stars and stripes...well they do, look at this link someone posted a week? ago...you can get some idea's this way how your lotus coud look like.

150mm in width. IMHO anything less just doesn't look right (so much so that I took them off and started again).
Piooly, the spoiler was the hardest part on my 111s. Luckily the 160 spoiler gives you a little more clearance to play with. I ended my stripes just underneath the edge of the spoiler without going very far on the underside. To be honest, you wouldn't notice and it looks far cleaner than if I'd tried to wrap all the way around. Of course, you could take the spoiler off the car and do it that way, but the perfectionist would just paint them on instead.
Edit to add: 150mm means you end up with the stripes centered over the exhaust cutouts

Gruffy - Unrelated to stripes. Were you on your way to Le Mans in the photo above? If so, the tuscan in front of you - ?huge bloke with a beard. - I think I can see him in the background. I was on the train back from the weekend with what looks like the same bloke.
Stripes really suit the car.

Thanks GT I saw the stuff on that site a little while ago. I simply want to know the correct dimensions and the specific yellow colour.
This is what I could find about the Twin metallic Yellow stripes;
Lightning Yellow Pearl(lotus color code: B83) manufacturer's code: P1375
more color info on this: www.espritfactfile.com/Parts.html#LotusPaints
and this: www.grouplotus.com/media/car/doc/Paint%20Codes_Website.pdf
hope this it it...

Otherwise Gooby's car with its viper stripes might not be faster than mine.
