Just been cought doing 53 in a 30 zone. Went through all the usual stuff what me etc.
My question is how can they proove it was me no video shots just the reading on the speed gun.
They got me 263m away from them.
Would I have a chance of getting away with it in court?
Thanks from a pissed off mathew

I won't try the 'holier than thou' line because I'm sure we've all been here at some point, but nearly double the speed limit is taking the p!ss dn't you think? May have been in safe circumstances, I don't know I wasn't there, but it does sound like you were pushing your luck?

Point taken but I was sure it was a 50 limit not built up just a big wide raod running along a sea front.
Anyway it wrecked my Sunday will have to try an keep the speed down now and open the Griff up on a track.
It still hurts like F**k though.

Check out www.abd.org.uk

Click on HAVE YOU BEEN CONVICTED OF SPEEDING
IN AN UNLAWFUL 30MPH SPEED LIMIT?

It might be possible that the limit was not lawfully introduced if it was not a built up area.

Suggest you visit the site below as doing almost double the limit could result in more than the usual three points, depending on the location they might want to ban you, best of luck

Best to admit everything and say you're sorry for not being an observant driver.

Why not let your girlfriend do the driving in future? We girls seem to be better at driving than you boys - we get cheaper insurance, so we can't all be bad.

Other option - buy yourself a slower car - like my nice little Nissan Micra.

The only reason I'm gonna let you get away with writing stuff like that is;-

a) my wife is an excellent driver, and drives a very small car.
b) many of the women on this site are also excellent drivers, of equal skill to us blokes.

However... as a rule, I disagree with your assumption that women are better. Most women are NOT as good, and the insurance thing is discriminatory. If you check your facts, you'll realise that the new "at risk" group is young women, with egos. Like you!!

Umm...not the case. Young (17-25 year old) female drivers are fairly safe in insurance terms; 25-35 year olds are just as bad (or good, depending on your viewpoint) as their male counterparts; and it may surprise you to know that the second highest risk group after young male drivers is 55-65 year old female drivers. 35-55 year old drivers, male or female, are about the best risk going.

come on guys...this is just another troll. There was nothing even remotely sensible about that post, it was just intended to get your backs up and comment on it.
