I'm thinking about starting a new business for the first time... can anyone point me in the direction of some software to handle prospects, customers and billing etc?

Initially I was drawn to Sage as it is what I knew and was well received.

However looking at it I really thought it had not moved on much from when it was called Sage Soverign over 10 years ago and the set up, licence and support cost was extortionate.

I ended up with a package for Hansa Office2 which provides me with full order, sales, stock control, invoice stuff as well as CRM and even email!

Would recommed at least looking at it.

vex, thanks for the reply... I've looked for Hansa Office2 on the web and it looks like a Danish product, do you know whwre I could find it in the UK?

There were a whole bunch of suppliers listed on the hansaworld web site, but the seem to have disappeared.

I got mine from ABS in Wendover (bucks) very helpfull and happy to demo.
