GT2 Spolier

Anyone know where I could get a GT2 spoiler or GT3 spoiler fitted to my TT? I like the fixed spoiler, but can't afford a 5k aerokit.

Ideally in Essex / Kent if possible.

But they are quite reasonable so shouldn't be too scary

Not sure really. I have emailed 9ff asking if it's OK, or if I need to add the front aswell.

I've had the front done but not the back (see the pic in my profile). I much prefer the more aggressive GT2 front. It was done by a Porsche independent in Dartford. Let me know if you want his details.

Even though 9ff replied saying it was fine to use their wing without changing the front spoilers, some people on rennlist are not aggreing with 9ff.

So the jury is still out.

The best idea I guess would be to do both, but I don't want to many low spoilers on the front of the car as I have trouble with it grounding getting on the Euro Tunnel, and some hotel ramps as it is!

Starting to think it may be best just to leave everything alone!! lol

YHM. With regards to the other two issues:
1) Changing one spoiler or both does not make a difference unless you are worried about lap times to the nearest 10th of a second.
2) There is hardly any difference in ground clearance between the two bumpers. The way that the GT2 bumper is shaped gives the illusion that it much lower but in fact there very little difference. Also with mine, I've had the lower lip spoiler colour-coded so it looks lower still. The GT2 itself is lower than the Turbo because of the suspension set-up and not the front bumper.

There is a duct that diverts the air to the radiators in order to provide extra cooling but not essential unless you plan to run the car at very high temperatures ...or unless you simply want to 'do it properly'

I agree that the rear spoiler looks great and no doubt I'll get one. They are very expensive though...

This is the 9ff spoiler, and is 1450 EUROS. Price includes paiting and fitting at 9ff (in germany).

Steve, If you take a closer look, the 9ff spoiler is slightly different because it simply bolts onto where the Turbo spoiler used to be and will go up and down in the same way. The proper GT2 spoiler is a fixed wing and is part of the engine lid.

But, given the difference in price between the 9ff one and the proper one, it may be a compromise worth making. However, if you are willing to make that compromise, take a look at Ebay - there is someone selling 9ff style GT2 rear wings much cheaper than the €1450 that you have quoted.

If you do call, I've found its best to speak to Martyn directly rather than passing messages via his receptionist. Just mention my name and he'll know exactly what you need. I'll be there on Saturday having a couple of things done.
