Hi Mark - I have brought a windscreen related thread to the top for you to look at, hopefully it will be of use. See 'MOT Stuff' thread.

Hi pete, thanks for that information. I think the template idea is good . I`ll make one up and have a trip round some local companies. If anybody can recomend a company in the north west please do... Thanks again. Mark

From what I've heard templates are like gold dust, so if you do make one, I was advised to use 6mm ply, then hang on to it!
Good luck!

My windsecreen once fell in on me and i had to have it replaced. Lucky i found a spare one out of a jeep/dj box Yes i know it sounds funny but it worked well with strobes for headlights, But the screen was just a little bit too big so i got a window company that fits windows to plant stuff. Such as 360 diggers or farm stuff, they make windows to fit.. look in the yellow pages and im sure you will come up with something. Good luck!!

National Winscreens fit plant screens - in Chesterfield they have an exellent fitting team who are interested in cars. if there is one near to you give them a try. They do fit plant windows in flat glass. If you go to the other forum then you will see athread ther with my own windscreen saga

Hi
I have a card template made when ditching a cracked screen that we replaced with onefrom another jeep, could prob mail it down if it is of use as we are just north of Penrith. We wer quoted £45 by a local firm when loking at geting one cut- seemed like areasonable price, also have a spare rubber surround lurking somewhere.
