Ok just to put this into context we currently have £300 odd pounds worth of Argos vouchers (from Nectar points) and are thinking of getting a camcorder with them.

Usage will be in-frequent but mainly of family stuff, skiing, holidays and hopefully the odd bit of in car track stuff (would like option to add bullet cam if possible).

Don't mind adding to the vouchers with some cash but not a vast amount - so does anybody have any recommendations or avoids?

Cheers

Ian

I've just had a look online www.argos.co.uk , at that price range their isn't a huge choice, plus getting one with AV in (for later bullet cam use) doesn't seem possible until you go upto JVC GRD290 for £350. Worth going for a wide angle lens and bigger battery from somewhere else too.

Next step up is to £450, and looking at the difference in spec I don't know that it's worth it from the range Argos offer (for the usage you have in mind).

Cheers, Dave

I can get hold of almost any camera equipment from my suppliers and save you some money too. Somewhere like Jessops would be able to get all of this too, and somewhere like RF Concepts is popular for bullet cams (only we are cheaper). I will get back to you tomorrow with prices.

Thanks, Dave

Sadly I've been too busy to use it yet - all I've done so far is charge it and check it works but it looks like a great bit of kit and easy to use...
