Having a bit of fun on the M1 last night in a Lotus and passed a 4 wheel drive quad bike with hazard flashers on the hard shoulder, expected to see a sheep dog in attendance.

Didnt know these are allowed on motorways or am I mistaken ???

I'm certainly allowed to here in Spain, but I wouldn't want to. On the road tyres it's too low geared.

I don't know about the legalities... but it beggars belief really doesn't it!?

I feel vunerable enough in a sturdy convertible....

I'd really lime a road legal quadbike, just to see how much attention it got but I doubt you feel too safe on dual carriageways/m'ways!

I get a lot more attention in the Noble than on the quad

There is a road legal quad in Maidstone, i quite often see driving around. Never seen him on the motorway but has been on the dual carriage way.

Yeah there are a few around Brands Hatch. Two idenitcal quads I often see out bombing down the hill to the Texaco roundabout. I think they may work at the MotarCross Place near them as would be great transport for working there.
