Budget build

I've been asked by someone what would be the cheapest anyone has built an Ultima GTR for.
Does anyone know?
I realise it's not a car you ideally build on a tight budget, but there must be some builders out the who are time rich but cash poor?

I don’t actually own an Ultima, but in my opinion, one of the only places you can save money without impacting later resale value is the engine. You can purchase and recondition a Chevy engine for less than £1000 (I got mine freshly rebuilt for £400!!!) - Once funds allow you will easily resell the engine on and get something better. Skimping on other parts is a false economy, as its not easy to retrofit better parts later.

I'm personally waiting until I can do it properly (although I will probably still take the el-cheapo engine, leading to a later upgrade path)
