Went to Fernhurst today, bought myself a nice liddle 4.0 chim. Oh well. I had planned a 4.5, but after driving i just seemed to fit the 4, we felt the love with each other. You guys know how it is. Already thinking about K&N filters, brakes, leven, etc....dum de dum... Well, in a year or so.

Would post pics if i knew how, but if you wanna see, then fernurst.co.uk moonraker black, biscuit hide interior. R794 ALC. Hmmmm.

Thanks to all you guys for your help and advice. I'm hoping to be at the viginia whoever meet on the 5th, so see some of you guys there.

Cheers,

Good to be back in the fold.

The pic needs to be web hosted, as Fernhurst's is.

If you "quote" my post above you'll see the format

Yup, that was me, i think. Mind you, there was a couple there, who test drove and bought the other black chim, withthe magnolia hide. May have been them. I sort of coveted thier one for a bit, but it was 1000 pounds more, and only effectively the colour in it, which is not a reason to choose one of these. I'm happy, she's a beauty. Now just need a beauty for seat no. 2. Some arm candy for the 5th, eh!!

I added a bit that you had missed out there mate.

As for the VW meet i will be going but not sure about the getting there bit as i'm not sure whether Nick will be organising a run to it with the sel/nwk lot so i won't commit myself to do a run down to OBN untill nearer the time.

Congratulations on your Chim purchase! Looks a lovely car.
We are taking ours on the Tunnel Run, before driving over to Virginia Waters, so maybe see you there! (Our car is easy to spot as has the later "Cerbera" style mirrors)
By the way, be careful with what you spend on mods and upgrades, any Tiv loves having money and 'shiny bits' lavished on it!!!

By the way, you may be interested to know that the car you have just bought is featured in "Classic Cars" Magazine Feb 2006 edition on page 144. Their verdict " A good, useable example at a fair price".

I have got rid of the 'flappy' citroen derived mirrors, and gone for the 'VW Corrado' style as fitted to later models and most current cars. They are more stable, do not 'flap'around and are higher so you have a much better rearward view.
