Sorry had no idea what to call this. Finished reading "Corvette C6" by Phil Berg, the offial C6 book I guess as it has GM logos on the cover. Now it is nowhere approaching the quality of "All Corvettes are Red" and is definitly coffeee table fodder but it aint bad. Interestingly whereas the numero uno objetcive of the C5 team was better quality, the overriding objective of the C6 team was reduced cabin noise, apart from of course improving the car over the C5, not an insubstantial thing to achieve.

As we all know the C6 has been slated on a variety of forums, including this one, in the past and I guess primalry on styling. Having had the chance to read about the car and look at lots of high quality photos, I now come down in solid favour of the C6. Overall I find its styling better than the C5 (disaapointly non radical in change yes, but better - boy I wish they had gone for the styling shown on the front inside cover of the book) although to me the C5has the better butt . And clearly it is a better car all round. My Spring project will now be to work out how to get the readies together to upgrade to a 2nd MY vert.

Agreed. Although the nose is a bit bland it's a very good all-round update of the C5. The only excuse for not buying one is the loss of pop-up headlamps!

Damn, forgot about that. Maybe it will have to be the split window after all

Nope. I've seen one in the plastic right next to a C5 Z06 and the C6 styling is bad and not even a Z06 could get me into one. Fortunately, styling is subjective.

Even though I'm a diehard C3 Freak I popped into American Carriage Co at their new Barnes premises and fell in love with a 6 month old/4000 mile £40K black coupe C6. Really nice looking little car. Couln't live with the depreciation unfortunately. Strange as I originally went to look at their '89 black 9000 mile Callaway at £20K!
