GT3 c 1999 experts please!

Does the GT3 from 1999 vintage suffer the same engine problems as the 996??

What problems can one expect with a GT3 please and what should I be paying for ave miles 1999 or 2000 car please??

How does it compare residual wise with a 996tt also!

Q1. No. The engine is based on the GT1 block - a totally different and bombproof animal.

Q2. A silly grin stuck permanently about your chops. A nasty bug called trackdayspendbrakesspendtyresspendgeometryspendMantheylust. And it is a bit heavy on clutches, but no worse than say a C4. The early cars suffered with a weakness in the brass syncro rings which were changed to steel in the MK2 I think. Most cars have probably had them changed by the time they reach avg mileage.

Q3. About £110,000.00 but I believe some fools are selling them for low £40's to £50k.

Q4. I would guess residuals would be better than a common old turbot, after all only 28 UK Clubsports are available I think, but Henry F would be better placed to give an answer on this.
