Chassis mounting rubber

Hi

I've just removed the outrigger from a 400SE and was wondering were I might buy the rubber that the chassis sits on - has anyone else found a good supplier of this ?

Reve, is this like a rubber strip?

If so, I used a VW Beetle body gasket that sits between the floorpan and body. I'll look round some VW specialists to see if I can find you some links.

Thanks Iain - looks narrower that the piece on the TVR : I could make it out of closed cell foam (camping floor roll stuff).. as I guess it's just there to cushion the body from shocks/wear (steel vs fibreglass)..

It's about an inch wide. Make sure its very good closed cell foam, and doesn't loose it's closed cell properties when crushed, the last thing you need is water being retained on the outriggers!

Rev, got some from here www.atlanticrubber.co.uk/ Not local for you I guess. I have loads of off cuts left over from when I did mine. If you let me know what size and thickness you need I can see if I've anything that is suitable and send it on to you if that helps.

Some rubber floormat? Must be some dutch cheapness in this solution.
Mine were fine when replacing the plates on the outriggers and re-used all of them.

I ditched alot of mine, but i had the whole body up so lowered it all accordingly, feeling the load on each point, but i thought truck mudflaps! It corners better now the C of G is betterer!
