Just wondering if anybody has the Itg carbon fibre airbox fitted to their S1? I am thinking of buying the kit, but does it offer decent power gains for the £374?? or should i stick with the hurricaine which is fitted on the car at present? Thanks in advance!

Stick with your Hurricane. I have it on my car and it's great.
I'll have to see dyno runs back to back showing a difference in horsepower between the two intakes before I'd believe it.
I've tuned a lot of cars in my time and never seen much of a gain if any with an intake.
Example: my previous car was a Honda Civic with Integra Type R engine and other bits and pieces. We dynoed the car with a 3" Cold Air Intake versus the Stock intake with just a KN drop-in filter. Same horsepower. And this was on a 200hp+ setup.

In short. Keep what you've got

stick with the Hurricane...you will notice no difference whatsoever apart from maybe a slightly different sound. Save a couple more hundred quid and stick some Piper 270 cams in there instead - you will notice a difference then.

Thanks for the advice, uprated cams are next on my agenda but im not very confident at stripping down an engine. Are they expensive to fit?

I got the ITG coz it was 0% over 12months for Hangar 111. Dont think i would have bothered if it was not.

Makes it sound better though
