Westfield recommend using a Wix WL 7064 oil filter, these are impossible to find locally, is there an alternative?
PS the Ford filter is too long to fit in the Westfield.

Try a Crossland 659, I can get them at a local Lucas shop. Mine is a 2ltr, but they should be the same.

any filter that fits the renault range of 5,9,11 etc. There are 2 types in the Mann manufacture range.I use the taller one, although there is only an inch between them both work and are fine for a Zetec.

Why don't you just order one from Westfield?

www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/shop/product.asp?numRecordPosition=25&P_ID=238&strPageHistory=&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=77

Its a lot less hassle, it normally takes two days to deliver.
(Sorry if I've missed the point )

I can't see the point of asking a question and then ignoring the advice given but it's up to you.

From the locost builders forum...

Halfords HOF 238
Crossland 659
FRAM PH2874
Coopers 107X

Personally I'd always get something with a non-return valve in but your local motor factors will be able to supply one of the above and google will help you find an online supplier. Should cost about a fiver I imagine.
