Bridgestone Potenza RE 050 A

Looking to get a set. Either that or some Uniroyal RainSport 1's pretty comparable grip and wear wise. Uniroyal's have it in the wet though (as expected).

235/40-17 and 255/40/-17

Around a ton a corner (a little more for the Pots).

Anyone got experience of them?

I put some Toyos on my 4.2 shortly before selling up to a 4.5 - they seemed quite grippy with much less road noise than the Bridgestones. Having said that, rumour has it the Toyos wear more quickly.

Toyos do wear a mite more quickly than other brands, mainly as they're a somewhat softer compound. You pays your money, you takes your choice. I paid £106 a corner for 17"s last week, so the price is applicable. To put the wear issue in context I put T1S's on my Chimaera, did a TVRCC trackday at Oulton Park and got another 6000 miles out of the car before I sold it, and they still had about 4000 left in them, so I wouldn't class them as overly soft!

Can't speak about the 17", but I had 16" Toyos on mine, changed them for Goodyear Eagle F1's (the new GSD3 model) and they are great!
Less noise, more grip and feels more progressive when you push it.
Got them at Kwik Fit for under £100 each.
I've just had a look on Kwik Fits web page and they are doing 17" 235's for £124 and 255's for £149 each. They also do deals with the 4th free or no VAT.

I've got Toyo T1R (and T1S, for that matter, on the other axle) on mine. No complaints so far, though it's probably too early to comment on long-term wear.

They replaced the SO2 that were on previously and certainly offerred better wet weather grip and less aqua-planing. Though that could just be down to having a bit more tread...

give www.camskill.co.uk a try for your tyres. they are doing 255/35/18 falken fk451's for £98. a bargain me thinks and IMHO also a good tyre. they also do toyos etc but not sure how the prices compare on them.

Just wondered, mine's got p-zero's on at the mo seem ok but only had car 3 week's, (so i dont know if they all go sideways this much) and rear tyres are getting down a bit so wondering what to change them for has anyone had p-zero's and how did you rate them?

I use the 19" ones of these on mine and in my opinion are far superior to the Goodyears and Toyos.
I've never had any complaints about them the work well from cold and just seem to be better all round.

I've just put two on the front of mine. They replaced the SO3's and what a difference. No tramlining!!!
