996 Turbo and Turbo S

Can someone please tell me of the difference between a 996 Turbo tt and a 996 Turbo S, and Turbo x50,over a 996 Turbo?

996 Turbo - 420bhp from K16 turbos.

996 Turbo X50 - 450bhp from K24 turbos.

996 Turbo S - An X50 with PCCB and a few "S" badges.

'996tt' stands for twin turbo or two turbo's and is the same as below.
'996 turbo' is the same as above.

No. "tt" is used to denote twin turbo. All factory 993 and 996 turbos have had two turbos.

X50 just denotes the car has the factory power upgrade kit.

So all 996 Turbos are twin turbos, with the variation being if they have been uprated to X50?

The thing that had confused me was seeing "tt" marked in the adverts as if it were an additional feature on the Turbo. In reality, that seems like saying "996 Turbo, 1 steering wheel".

I think the term "tt" probably came from muppets like us with poor typing skills, on internet discussion forums typing "tt" as it is quicker than typing out "turbo".

its also to let everyone know that we have TWO turbos and not the inferior one which so many other cars have.

Clearly two turbos are better than one.!
In fact mine may well be a 996 tttttttttt cos its that fast and wicked.
