I'm going to sort a camping hol for a few mates to the British GP. Just thought i'd share the prices with you chaps... BOOK NOW thats all i can say - prices go up after 31st Jan.

ok.... tickets for the cheapest grandstands are £159. (if you book before jan 31st). You get an allocated seat for the race but can roam and sit in ANY grandstand on the two qualifying days.

Its £25 per tent per night for up to 4 people at the random campsite i looked at. (i've costed for 2 nights at the campsite)

£15 for a car parking pass.

if two people go it will cost £191 each
if three people go it will cost £180.67
if four people go it will cost £175.25 (tent might be a bit smelly)

Also someone i spoke to told me that they had the best time on a general admission ticket wandering about adn sitting on the grass where you like, better than when they went in a grandstand...

so for general admission, 2 nights camping, car park pass
2 people... £131.50
3 people... £120.67
4 people... £115.25

I bet lots of people on this forum will be off on complmentary tickets lucky buggers!

Well, this year it's going to cost me...

General admission for all 3 days with Paddock transfer - £0
Camping - £0
Saturday night BBQ and beers - £0
Front row seat - £0

The catch? - You have to be a Marshall

how to do the British GP on a budget.

get a big van, build scary scaffolding structure around said van, park in the car park on Hangar Straight. Get there early and bag a spot on the front row.

Hi
We used a campsite in a farmers field, opposite one of the campsites on the Silverstone website. £20 all in! 2 nights, 2 tents!

Or plan B, use the money to go and visit one of the european events with ryan air, the savings you'll make on circuit entry might afford you a hotel!

Silverstone can stuff their F1 prices up their 'pitlane', massively overpriced.
