1.3 million well spent or a waste of tax revenue?

ahh, so because Alistair Darling was upset by white van man one day, he has decided to spend our tax money to give them lessons...

Couldn't they spend the money on traffic plod to spot the crap driving and have a word?

Saw this on the BBC 1.00 news - they seemed to focus exclusively on 'white van man'. As the van above is red, then presumeably its driver wouldn't qualify for lessons?

Many people on here call for more driver training so this is surely a good thing. Perhaps next we'll get 17-25 yr olds & older driver refresher courses? Leaving everyone from 25 to 70 to wreak havoc.

wonder if they'll be offering courses for rep-man next, but you'll have to have a passat or a 3 series to qualify though.

wohoo free advanced driving course for me
on a more serious not there are some tts out there in white vans!! but as iv found out today, there are plenty of other people that need driver training!! like the Ck in the Merc SLR today weaving in and out of lanes on his mobile, or the tr in the huge 4X4 doing well over 100 down the m1 flashing at people if they didnt get out of his way!! people these days rush around to much!! my boss wont pay me any extra for rushing around if anything it makes my life harder because he thinks i can do more work in a day. He wont pay my speeding ticket if i get caught.

There are alot of people that need driver training not just van drivers!!
