East Fortune Track Day - Sunday 5th March
Discussion
Hi,
This is to let those of you who are unable to go to the track day organised by Javelin on Saturday the 4th because it is full - if there is enough demand they will look to running a second day on the Sunday! So if you would like to go along, email Colin at Javelin and let him know.
Cheers

£22.25 per hour of Open Pit Lane on this gem of a circuit - Expensive?
Glad the Circuit Owners did not take the same attitude when faced with multi four figure sums for resurfacing work.
It must be remembered that East Fortune only has a set number of days that it can operate and therefore recoup those costs unlik major circuits that operate 7 days a week.

Sorry JavTrack, don't miss understand me, I am speaking in relative terms here. Javelin have the same track booked on the Saturday, at the same price, but for 8hrs if you take an hour for lunch. I totaly agree that £89 for the day is excellent value for money and I tried to book this for myself and bro on the Saturday but it was full. I just felt that the Sunday event 4hrs for the same cost didn't give as good value for money, so I booked Cadwell with Javelin in March instead.
I do also understand the excellent work put in by the track owners, living close to the Croft circuit and using it for competitive Rally-x under the ownership of George Shields.
I would like to point out also; I think the service provided by people like Javelin Trackdays is first class and without them most people wouldn't get the chance to drive the excellent circuits that the UK has to offer.
Sorry if my comments on value for money have offended, but its just my opinion when comparing the two days...

Is this not just 4hrs though miniandy, 10.00 to 14.00 - It seems a bit expensive 4hrs for £89..??
Oh crap. I hadn't looked properly. That's a shame, especially as the crowd on the day before pays the same but gets much longer on track. Might have to rethink...
fixed..

Yeah, but the Saturday crowd will have a full field, while on Sunday it'll be 10 cars on the whole track.
Fix quoting...

Would it not be a good thing if Javelin could turn this into a full weekend event? i.e 3 half day sessions. Then drivers could book either 1, 2 or all 3 sessions, this would then enable people who travel some distance to do the Saturday afternoon and a Sunday session.
It could also be a good thing for the local hotels and pubs etc, with people staying over.
Just a thought!
