Rs seats/Competition seats

I read some where on a porsche forum about an importer of replica RS seats that didn't break the bank account.
Before the next trackday outing i want to fit some better seats to my 82 911 sc but i am having trouble locating some.
Some after market seats will not fit due to the roll cage and me being to tall. Any suggestions would be welcome ( apart from chopping legs off or even worse removing roll cage!)

I'm expecting to have some GT3 Carbon seats (copies) quite soon; They will probably be around £499 each, which is quite a lot less than the factory versions! Available through www.advancedcarproducts.com

Anyone else notice that the seat in the shuttle of Enterprise (the now cancelled Startrek series) is a modified GT3 bucket seat?

Porsche use Recaro as original equipment. Although not identical, their Pole Position and SPG seats are similar to Porsche RS fitment.

Southbound will trim these in leather a la RS for a reasonable amount; about 500 GBP per seat IIRC.

There's a pair of original RS seats in the classifieds although priced at £1300 they may not meet your budget criteria
