What does 'pro-rata' job salary mean ?
Discussion
Simply put, if they're offering £20k pa pro-rata but you only work half days then you only get £10k pa.
Or, for short term contracts, if they're offering £20k pro-rata on a 6 month contract then, again, you only get £10k.
Pro-rata is to salary what APR is to interest rates.
("Pro rata" in Latin means "in proportion" )
