Hi, I need a full set of shocks for my Chim, has anyone got any suggestions on price etc. I know absoulutely shocks will do them for £500, just wondered if I can get them cheaper? I am going to use the old springs aswell, can't see the point of changing them.
Thanks
Andy

If you're planning to keep the springs then that limits the choice of dampers to ones matching the dimensions of your current dampers. It will also mean you're sticking with the rising rate springs which may not suit your new dampers. For the sake of fifty-sixty quid it would be worth getting a matching set of springs and dampers.

If your dampers need changing then your springs are probably due too. They sag with use,and for the price they are,its hardly worth not changing them, new shocks with tired springs is a waste imho.If you want the best value for money in terms of performance against price, then talk to Joo @ www.track-car-solutions.co.uk as has already been recommended. He's a full time suspension specialist, and sells the Protechs, custom specced to these cars. They come with an impressive 3yr warranty, and are alloy bodied for better performance than some of the steel bodied cheaper ones out there.Anything suspension wise for these cars and he's your man.....Just ordered some of the new improved Powerflex poly bushes off him also
