All,

Just thought I'd tell you all what we plan for this year's Big Bad Wedge Fest :

The event will again be held at Ettington Chase on Saturday 15th July (11am onwards) - the event will be free of charge, all TVR's welcome.

If you want to stay at the hotel - I have negotiated the price of £50 single, £60 double B & B : just mention ref "BBWF - TVR"
Tel : 01789 740000 - don't delay too long as the rooms will sell out fast.

There is a choice of events on the Sunday (16/7) of either :

Run What you Brung racing at Shakespeare county Raceway on Sunday 16th July 10 am onwards (10 miles away) you just need a helmet & driving licence (£10 PP entry and £20 to race)
or
TVR Factory tour - it's nearly 3 hours North but this will probably be the last chance to tour the old factory and see where your wedge was made. TVR CC members only - so if you fancy this - then you will need to join up before hand.

Saturday Events :
------------------
1) Paul (GSX600) Will again be bringing his van - so tea & coffee will be available : Also Pre booked - BBQ tickets & Polo's (& baseball caps from van).

2) Concours - Again we will have a concours : just need some volunteers to be judges : so if you know a Tasmin 200 from a 450 SEAC then why not volunteer your services.

3) Traders : I'm sure there will be a few present..

4) Raffle : Anyone want to suggest a good cause and volunteer to help collections.

5) Noise Comp - noisiest wedge (Tallbloke talking the readings)

6) Convoy - Gandalf will take you on a magical mystery tour of the surrounding roads.

7) DVD of event : Martin (Redcar) did a great job last year - perhaps if people want another DVD someone could volunteer to lead this.

8) Tech Talks: New event - We hope to get some guru's along to talk for 10~15 mins on subjects like : engine rebuilds, Induction / Ecu tuning, Chassis restorations, Brakes, TVR CC Membership events & benefits.

9) Feature cars / Parking Arrangements : Volunteers needed : parking by model, special area for a few specials that have : Unusual engines, tuning, chassis work, shiny bits etc..let's have bonnet's up wheels off etc..

10) Passenger rides : Ask Paul in the van to pair up people who are interested in a ride round the Ettington triangle in a Wedge model of their choice !

11) BBQ & Buffet (early evening) - advance tickets only : Held at the local pub - Tallbloke will give details.

12) Something for the Ladies: No not 'Tallbloke' - Ettington's facilities : Swimming pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Tennis, Gym etc..
: My Elaine will take charge of this (she will be bored of cars after 5 mins )

13) Polo Shirt (Purple or Black) around £14 or BBWF base ball cap around £4~5 : As many of us already have the Shirt we will have a base ball cap - might even see if we can get a wedge logo designed.
I will send out details when we have them - it's still the intention to have everyone with their name, handle and model : as it makes identification so much easier.

Also - Ettington have asked that no alchol is brought onto the premises that is not supplied by them, they warned that it would be confiscated.

Sunday :

Breakfast at Ettington Chase followed by :

1) TVR Factory tour - it's nearly 3 hours North but this will probably be the last chance to tour the old factory and see where your wedge was made. TVR CC members only - so if you fancy this - then you will need to join up before hand : this will mean an start/ checkout / bacon butty and hit the road.

2) Run What You Brung at Sheakespeake county drag race way - price is £10 entry (each person) & £20 + Current driving licence for those who want to race and I really want every one to have a go.
If it's a convertible - I believe you need a helmet (advisable anyway) !

Finally - if you are coming : let me know or post here : just so we know how many are coming.

See you all at the BBWF
Rev.

Hi Alan,

Yep I'll be there for year 3, but only for the Saturday I think. Might stay on for the BBQ this year though.

Santa Pod is a fair distance away (Look for Poddington - near M1 J14 - Milton Keynes)

This is at Stratford country - which is only 10 miles away.

Tea and coffee I'm sure is very nice, but aren't we on someone's premises? Bit naughty to do that isn't it?

Are us boys prohibited from joining the girls in the pool or whatever?

Run What You Brung sounds great to me! It's not often I get the chance to exceed 30mph, living in the big smoke as I do, so a welcome opportunity to use all the gears

Excellent, I won't be alone at the dragway then.

Rev, how about we start 3 threads

Dragway

Silverstone

Factory

So we can get an idea of who's interested in what?
