If you knew for sure that had only a few days (lets say three) to live.....

What would you do?
In what order?

sorry for the underlying morbidity but I wonder about these things...

Thats a good honest start....
I think to answer my own question, I would get an overwhelming urge not to shuffle off this mortal coil without leaving some children behind......

I'd spend the three days having fun with my kids and the three night writing long letters to each of them, to be opened when they're older.

1.tell everyone what i honestly thought of them.

2.spread my money out to the ones i love and care about.

3.go out on a 'focused killing spree', clean up society a bit for the people i leave behind i.e thieves, scammers, scroungers and extremists that live in the UK yet constantly bad mouth the English on TV and websites.

4.hop in the db9 and set off as many scameras as possible, then ram into a group of greenpeace protesters at 190 mph.

I know that I would want to spend those days with the people that mean the world to me, my honey and with my family.

(day 1)See how long it takes the bib to catch a determined driver in a Tiv. Also find out how fast it really is.

(days 2&3) in the cells.

(day 4) in the box.

(about day 10) in the oven.

Watch it. There's probably a Blairbour government monitoring station compiling a dossier of unstable types like you, waiting for the chance to take your car off you before you do some damage...

First of all, i'd ring in sick. Then, tell those i really love and care about how i really feel about them (i could go on for hours telling what i would say). Spend time with them if i could. Spend lots of money, sort out a fair will, write a final letter, drink alchohol and smoke lots while listening to my favourite music very loud, and then, when sober, drive my TVR.......... to the end

I would spend the 3 days giving my husband and kids memories they can cherish, and that will make them smile.

To be remembered with a smile, what more could you want.

cry.

think about what an awesome and awe-inspiring thing the universe is... (I do this on nights like tonight, when it's clear and I can see the stars... Sometimes I'm so overwhelmed by the fact we are on this planet (which is massive!) in a solar system in a massive massive galaxy in an unbelievably massive universe... it's very humbling. Not enough people realise how unimportant they are).

and then ponder why most of humankind can't see this is and is obsessed with religion/god/war/fighting... the universe is bloody awesome, why the hell does it matter what idiot brand of god you believe in?

and then spend time with my family and friends.

I think it would involve a very fast, and probably stolen car, maybe a nice Veyron/F1/Enzo. I don't think I would want to have 3 days knowing I was going to die, do I'd do a few things before I died on the first day like spend it with my family and then end it all in a big ball of flames at about 200mph.

Fun topic btw...

god I feel depressed now...

Agree that is such a simple but wonderful thing .
When I think of departed family and friends certain ones still bring a smile to my face, they are the ones I remember most.

Personally, I don't see such ponderings as morbid. In fact, I see it as a reality check - it keeps things in the correct perspective.

My company buys and sells companies. Sometimes we'll be working on a deal for, say, six months and suddenly, through no fault of our own, the deal will fall over! Months wasted, money wasted, emotional energy wasted and nothing to show. Very often heads drop and everyone feels pig sick! However, I always say to myself and others, "well our kids are still alive - get things into perspective". I've also said "no one says on their death bed, I wish I spent more time at the office".

As such, it's all about perspective.
