Not convinced - looks more like someone's opened it with a crowbar and nicked all the internals; the camera etc have gone but the wiring's still in place & undamaged.

Take a closer look.
Bulging sides, roof and front all indicate internal explosion.
No camera true, maybe its down the road someplace taking macros of the verge?
Wiring will remain pretty much intact, its not got much surface area for explosion to impact on.
At a guess id say that it was blown apart by a mix of aceteylene and oxygen, hence no burn marks.
As previous poster said" the end justifies the means".

cant rememner who but someone told me that someone put a bomb next to a speed camera on the M6 few weeks ago but police arrived before it blew!

they said that it would have taken out the left hand lane if it had gone off.

I have not heard or seen anything in media though

Either someone is getting serious about doing something about this form of oppression, or judging by some of the very detailed close-ups of (undamaged) Gatso cameras, the vehicles that service them and the uniforms of those soulless devils that service them, someone has got a very serious fetish.
