How to cheer myself up?
Discussion
First off, no sympathy please I'm fine and worse things happen at sea!
So... In the last two weeks I've had my beloved Fiat Coupe written off by a drunk driver and today I find out I'm being made redundant. So plans of EVOs and MR2 Turbos are out of the window and I find myself in the market for a mk4 Fiesta for the time being.
On the plus side, the job was rubbish anyway, even if it did have a public sector final salary pension! (3.5 80ths of 22.5k, woo!)
So anyway the point is, what can I do that doesn't invole nice cars or lots of money to cheer myself up. Wacky suggestions welcome.

Can you sail, if so buy yourself a £400 Laser 1 and wait for a nice Force5+ then go and blast with the biggest grin on your face If you can't sail, learn (might be too expensive, but hunt around and it shdnt be too bad)
Ooh, now that is a good idea. I can indeed sail but haven't for years. Will have to look into that. Finding somewhere that will let me hire a boat for the day might be a bit more practical at the moment though.

Drive to the coast, or a beauty spot and go for a walk or sit on top of a hill.
Clear your mind, and remind yourself that all this beauty has been here long before you were born and will be here long after you are gone. I always find the insignificance of life strangely comforting in the sense that in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.
Always works for me.
