Dear All,

Occasionally my car feels as if the turbo is not bringing the power in on a smooth power curve (if that makes sense!). Its only slightly noticeable but feels as if the power is coming on and then off and produces quite a large lag.

Tends to be in higher gears and always north of 4000 rpm. I have the computer showing the Turbo BAR and it usually goes to 0.5 BAR - occasionally 0.6 and extremely occasionally (only twice) 0.7 for less than a second. Does anyone know if this is correct as I heard they were meant to get to 0.9 BAR?

I have had the car in the OPC but they said they thought it was plugs, but it has just had a major service and its still doing it!

Inevitably I will take it on to a rolling road to see if I can get a print out, but if anyone has any views in the mean time.... On that note if anyone knows a good place to go for a rolling road (near Farnham or Guildford) that would be great.

Thanks
Rob

Have you checked that the last major service did include plugs? Mine had had a major service at an OPC in which the plugs were supposed to be part of the service but they hadn't done them. It is a bumper off job so may well have been skipped. I understood that .8 bar is max on a TT and .9 bar on a TT with X50 option.

Are you saying that the boost gauge is showing you fluctuating boost?i.e boost isnt going up smoothly with the revs? The car comes on and off boost even though the revs are constantly climbing? If so yes you have got a problem.
