Can i just ask when exactely is the BNG is it sept. 2/3? and can we bring any car? This probably sounds a bit stupid but i just wondered exactly what was happening (sorry to sound thick!)
Nicola- It's not a stupid question, if you don't know it's fair to ask. thats what the forums for innit?
In a nutshell...
The BNG is a 3 day event, of which you can indulge as much or as little as you wish.
Day 1- Sat 2nd is a drive day- 3 seperate organised drives (30 cars per drive) out from the local harrogate TVR dealership (free bacon butties), the best of North Yorkshire scenery & roads including lunch & great company.
Day 2 Sunday 3rd is a 'Rumble' (TVR's only) through Harrogate (100+ TVRs) the local constabulary are closing the roads off so we don't get seperated at traffic lights & junctions etc, then a nice sedate drive to Newby Hall. Gardens, Big house, arts fair etc.
Day 3 Monday 4th- Is a trackday at Croft (North East) Nuff said.

The maps are showing all the routes going out up the A61.
Do you know there are road works at the junction in Killinghall causing big delays?
Last weekend it took 20+ mins to get from the A59/A61 roundabout through Killinghall. And it is backing up Skipton road before that.
It might be worth a detour up the A59 and through Hampsthwaite, Clint and Shaw Mills to avoid it. And those roads are much more fun than the A61
