Alarm unit key

Hi all,

my alarm/siren unit (near the radiator bolted to the passanger wing)is in the "off" position. Unfortunately I have no key with which to turn it to the "on" position. The key for the unit should be circular in shape to fit the lock. I'm not sure of the alarm make (Griffith 500 build date sept 94) the remote fob is black with single circular button and red led that flashes when pushed. I assume this key should have come with the ignition keys but it did not. Has anyone else been in this situation and if so where would the best place to try and get hold of a key?

The Key fob sounds identical to mine ( 92 4.0 )
[e-mail] sorted me with a new key fob, not sure whether they could help with the hard key.
I will check over the weekend and see whether
a ) I have the hard key you describe
B ) whether it looks like it is universal and will fit another alarm unit, or whether it looks unique to each alarm box.
If your lucky on both the above I can post mine over to you ( as long as you return it )

The lock won't be universal, there are however other methods of opening those locks. The type of lock used is simular to a Kensington laptop lock. The guy on the video shows you how to open such a lock.

Thanks for the replies and offers of help. I'm in Australia so I think the best option is trying to obtain my own key (cheers Big Dunc). I have e-mailed the meta man, hope he can help me out.
